20 08 Non - Hermitian Hamiltonian versus E = 0 localized states

چکیده
We analyze the zero energy solutions, of a two dimensional system which undergoes a non-radial symmetric, complex potential V (r, φ). By virtue of the coherent states concept, the localized states are constructed, and the consequences of the imaginary part of the potential are found both analytically and schematically.

Application of Pseudo-Hermitian Quantum Mechanics to a PT -Symmetric Hamiltonian with a Continuum of Scattering States
We extend the application of the techniques developed within the framework of the pseudo-Hermitian quantum mechanics to study a unitary quantum system described by an imaginary PT -symmetric potential v(x) having a continuous real spectrum. For this potential that has recently been used, in the context of optical potentials, for modelling the propagation of electromagnetic waves travelling in a...

Currently, it has been claimed that certain Hermitian Hamiltonians have parity (P) and they are PT-invariant. We propose generalized definitions of time-reversal operator (T) and orthonormality such that all Hermitian Hamil-tonians are P,T,PT,CPT invariant. The PT-norm and CPT-norm are indefinite and definite respectively. The energy-eigenstates are either E-type (e.g., even) or O-type (e.g., o...
متن کاملPhysical Aspects of Pseudo-Hermitian and PT -Symmetric Quantum Mechanics
For a non-Hermitian Hamiltonian H possessing a real spectrum, we introduce a canonical orthonormal basis in which a previously introduced unitary mapping of H to a Hermitian Hamiltonian h takes a simple form. We use this basis to construct the observables Oα of the quantum mechanics based on H. In particular, we introduce pseudo-Hermitian position and momentum operators and a pseudo-Hermitian q...

The spectrum of the Hermitian Hamiltonian 1 2p 2 + 12m 2x2 + gx4 (g > 0), which describes the quantum anharmonic oscillator, is real and positive. The non-Hermitian quantum-mechanical Hamiltonian H = 1 2p 2 + 12m 2x2 − gx4, where the coupling constant g is real and positive, is PT -symmetric. As a consequence, the spectrum ofH is known to be real and positive as well. Here, it is shown that the...
متن کاملAn iterative method for the Hermitian-generalized Hamiltonian solutions to the inverse problem AX=B with a submatrix constraint
In this paper, an iterative method is proposed for solving the matrix inverse problem $AX=B$ for Hermitian-generalized Hamiltonian matrices with a submatrix constraint. By this iterative method, for any initial matrix $A_0$, a solution $A^*$ can be obtained in finite iteration steps in the absence of roundoff errors, and the solution with least norm can be obtained by choosing a special kind of...
